Founded in 2017, Atabong and Wang SARL swiftly established itself as a dynamic force in Cameroon’s mining sector, securing its exploration licenses just a year after incorporation. This strategic momentum led to immediate and fruitful exploration efforts in the mineral-rich Eastern Region, culminating in the successful launch of the company’s flagship Betare Oya Gold Mine in 2019.
Building on this initial success, our dedicated exploration teams identified a highly prospective new site, leading to the establishment of our second operational mine in Kambelle, near Batouri, in 2012. This rapid expansion from a startup to a multi-site operator within its first few years is a testament to the company’s ambitious drive and technical proficiency.
Today, Atabong and Wang SARL is firmly established, with robust and ongoing mining operations at both the Betare Oya and Kambelle sites. However, our ethos is rooted in continuous growth and forward-looking exploration. Our teams are actively assessing new territories, and we are optimistic about our regulatory progress. With strong confidence, we project that by the end of 2026, we will be granted the license to launch mining activities at a third site, further solidifying our position as a leading and expanding gold mining and trading company in Cameroon.
